ALGARETE

Algarete was founded in 1995 by its current singer Ismael Flores in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Their first performances took place in all the nightclubs in the south-west area of ​​the island where they had loyal fans who followed them everywhere. It was not until the year 2000 that they managed to record their first album titled Algaretime, with which they managed to exceed 100,000 copies sold, this album was well received on the radio since they managed to be in first place with four songs from this production, thus achieving enter among the first places in the international market. This placed them as the number one and most popular band in Puerto Rico. In 2002 their second production titled Por Fin came out, this time Algarete has a multinational in this case EMI LATIN, who were interested in the band at an international level. With their first single, Estamos Algarete, they managed to reach the Festival De La Calle 8, the Mallorca International Festival in Spain and at the Hard Rock Live in the city of Orlando, Florida. In 2003 they recorded a song on the reggaeton album Los Anormales produced by Héctor El Father entitled Malvada, with a fusion between rock and reggaeton. It was not until 2007, after four years without releasing unpublished material, that his third production, Pégate Aquí Y Chupa Un Rato, came out, with the collaboration of different producers such as Tony Rijos (Ricardo Arjona’s musical director), Félix Márquez ( musical director Melina León), Emilio Estefan and Héctor El Father.
